Abstract
Community-based organizations (CBOs) such as Area Agencies on Aging and Centers for Independent Living are well-positioned within their communities to improve social determinants of health (housing, nutrition, social and community engagement, and access to health care, services, and supports.) The Aging and Disability Business Institute provides tools and resources to support the capacity of CBOs to enter into successful contracts with health care entities. This brief report highlights the findings of the 2018 Request for Information (RFI) survey conducted by Scripps Gerontology Center in partnership with the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a) to build upon the findings from the 2017 RFI survey and our understanding of the contracting relationships between CBOs and health care entities.
