Residential Care: An Emerging Sector of the Ohio System of Long-Term Services

Abstract

This report utilized data from the Biennial Survey of Long-Term Care Facilities to show the expansive growth of residential care facilities and assisted living in Ohio over the last couple decades. The report provides a general picture of facility characteristics, resident characteristics, memory care, staffing, and cost of care. Policy and practice implications are also shared.
