Porphyrin is a group of compounds that has potential used in areas requires material with specific photodynamic and photoelectric properties. The basic structure of porphyrin, porphine, has been found in many important molecules, including chlorophyll and haemoglobin. The π-Extended porphrin gives decent red-shifting and broadening effect in terms of the absorption spectrum. Three porphyrin derivatives based on tetraphenylporphrin have been eventually obtained in a series of reactions.en_US
