Abstract

It’s part of nearly every library’s mission to preserve and freely share collected resources. However, as we move further into a world of contracting for access to (rather than ownership of) digital resources, it’s critical for library staff members to understand how this section of the copyright law impacts how we build collections and how we share them, through services like interlibrary loan.
