dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this project is to create a new king size bed that will stand apart from everything else on the market by incorporating a sound system, minifridge, and other Raspberry Pi driven technology into a bedframe that has a natural wood appearance, functional design, and built-in drawers beneath the mattress for efficient floor space usage. The idea was chosen because it included aspects in both fields that Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technologies covers: mechanical engineering for the design of the bed structure and electrical engineering for the design and integration of technology and Raspberry Pi circuitry. Designing and building this bed will gave both valuable experience and knowledge to the members of this team and made them more competent in their relative fields of study.en_US
